Full Retail Install
Can I install Windows XP on a computer from the CD retail dry?
I am thinking of buying parts of a computer to create myself, but I do not know if I install Windows XP operating system. My current computer is a (XP'ed) Millennium Edition updated for the CD I bought at a retail store. Not Sure I can install all components of the operating system from the XP CD retail alone, and I am doubtful that the new equipment I am planning to build a walk back to install from the CD Millennium System Restore that came with my current equipment purchase. Do I need a full suite of system restore Windows XP? Goals Can I install and upgrade with the XP CD? Or just load the operating system directly from the XP CD? PLEASE HELP ME.
