How can I erase the hard drive of your computer completely?
I know you can buy something to be deleted, but I managed to clear before I just can not remember how. I went to something before the start menu showed up and erased it. I just want my computer to act as before and really not have important files on it yet. It runs on Windows XP if that helps.
From what you say you really do not have to wipe your hard drive. Instead, what you want if you do not mind losing all the files is to boot to the installation disc for Windows XP. Delete the current partition, create a new partition and format with NTFS, and reinstalling Windows XP. Nothing will remain of the old facility so it will be as if erased.
