Has anyone heard of the need for a "cannot trip" replaced in a room to prevent leakage of water?

Never heard of hypocrisy a "trip" and I've been in business for 30 years. Probably someone consists of the name for something I did not know the correct name for. It is the bottom of the doorjamb of the Assembly and runs from one side of the jamb to the other. Think of a rectangle vertical and this would be the side on the bottom. These usually costs or "song" down abroad in order to shed water and prevent it from coming under your door. They can be wood or metal. Since that is placed in the bottom of the frame and walk on it the word "travel" may come to mind. This is all hypothetical, but you never know. Sills made of wood can go wrong after many years, rarely metal. More than likely if this is the reason for concern is the ledge of the same, but the installation of the door that is at fault, usually inadequate flashing (metal, rubber waterproof membrane) below the threshold / Jamb assembly. To fix this, if the cause would require removing and replacing the sill, in order to reflash. It is inexpensive, depending on the length of the sill means 100 150 for materials, perhaps the work of 2 hours. Worst case would be to remove the entire assembly of the door, redo the flashing, and reinstall the door. Add about another work of two hours and maybe 50 more in materials.
