Need memory for Dragon Naturally Speaking software?
I'm looking to get the standard edition of Dragon Naturally Speaking for the ability to dictate, so that you can send an e-mail, blog and work faster. So much space dealing with DNS on a computer? Will more slow down my computer in the process? I'm using XP with 2GB RAM and dual processors.
Your system specifications seem to match. Recommend 1gig of disk space hard for this beast to work properly. It "may" affect performance, but if you have dual processors and 2 GB of RAM, you're doing the best they can. You probably will not notice much change. I used to use an earlier version on a PIII 800MHz with 1GB of RAM for years and started along quite well but the program it was a bit of a bear to deal with. That is, it was difficult to endure, until I got used to it. Do not expect it so fast until you get used to it. I found it ended up having more time with having to go back and correct things. Maybe it was just me. Good luck.
