Who else here thinks that Alice in Wonderland is a religious allegory for the journey of the soul?

Lewis Carroll took the first Rev.and manuscript to Ms. George MacDonald, who greatly approved. If you look at the characters in the book closely since the religious point of view, we can find to be exactly matching the stages of enlightenment in the path of a soul to God. For example: first comes the shock and confusion of falling through "a hole rabbit "- where the applicant is confused and looking for something to conserve and accidentally overlooking the wonderful garden that desperately wants to enter. wtime 68, great response, I see that you copied from the back of the Bantam Classic edition. Well done!

This story has been called a satire on language, an allegory policy, a parody of Victorian literature for children, or even a reflection of contemporary ecclesiastical history. The book originated as a history of Lewis told a young friend, Alice Liddell, during a boat trip down the Thames. I tend to think that it was only a dream, a fairy tale about the trials and tribulations of growing uporaba down, or everything went as seen through the expert eyes of a child.
